Matt Hill & The Classics is a variety band that plays it all — jazz, blues, R&B, Motown, and more — based in the Pittsburgh and Ohio Valley region. Led by trumpeter and vocalist Matt Hill, the group mixes the style of classic jazz with the soul of modern rhythm & blues to create music that feels both timeless and fresh.
From smooth swing tunes and romantic cocktail sets to lively New Orleans–style entertainment and upbeat dance numbers, The Classics bring energy, warmth, and class to every event.
The band’s flexible lineup can range from a small trio to a full 7-piece horn band, making it easy to match the perfect sound and size for weddings, galas, festivals, and corporate events.
Bandleader Matt Hill has performed at The White House, shared stages with Rock & Roll Hall of Fame legends (The Impressions, Little Anthony & The Imperials, The Tymes), and led ensembles for major clients including Duolingo, Family House Polo, and the World Health Fundraiser Gala at UPMC – University of Pittsburgh.
